Cash benefit for the holder of the Pole's Card

When to apply?

Make proposalif you have applied for a permanent residence permit on account of your Pole's Card and want to obtain a cash benefit to partially cover the costs of setting up and living in Poland.

First conclusion You can apply for a cash benefit:

  • along with the application for a permanent residence permit due to the possession of the Pole's Card;
  • if you have submitted an application for a permanent residence permit on account of having a Pole's Card and the period of 3 months has not passed from the date of submitting the application for permanent residence,

Another request You can apply for a cash benefit when the first application for a cash benefit has been considered and you have been granted a benefit for a period shorter than 9 months.

Remember: if you submit the application after the deadline or if it contains formal defects that you do not complete within the time limit set by the authority, the application will be left without consideration.

Where to submit the application?

You submit a printed and correctly completed application for cash benefit in person together with the application for a permanent residence permit. If you do not submit the application for a cash benefit together with the application for a permanent residence permit, you can do so by sending it by post within three months from the date of submitting the application for a permanent residence permit. 

What documents to submit?

Documents needed to obtain a cash benefit:

  • proposal in one copy, completed in accordance with the instruction;
  • confirmation of payment of stamp duty in the amount of PLN 10,00

If you apply for family membersAdditionally, you must submit:

  • certified true copies of all written pages of valid documents confirming the identity of each member of the immediate family covered by the application (foreign passport or travel document), on the basis of which they entered the territory of the Republic of Poland;
  • certified true copies of current civil status records of your immediate family members, confirming the degree of kinship or indicating the conclusion of a marriage with you, i.e. marriage certificate, birth certificates of children; drawn up in the native language with their translations into Polish or localized acts (i.e. issued by the Polish Registry Office);
  • documents confirming your immediate family members living with you in Poland, e.g. employment contract or spouse's employment certificate, documents confirming your spouse's business activity, certificate of continuing education, diplomas and school leaving certificates in the territory of the Republic of Poland, school certificates /kindergarten/nursery for children, insurance for the work performed by the spouse.

To start the procedure, you will also need confirmation that you have applied stamp duty.

PAY ONLINE

To pay the awarded cash benefit, it will be necessary to specify the form of its payment. The benefit may be paid in cash (at the cash desk of the relevant poviat starosty) or non-cash by transfer to the bank account indicated by the applicant in the statement. The statement should be submitted to the competent staroste after receiving the decision on granting the benefit.

 How long will I wait?

In certain circumstances, the Minister of the Interior and Administration suspends the examination of applications for a cash benefit with the payment date falling in a given year, until funds for their payment are secured in the Budget Act, and voivodes suspend the examination of such applications - check whether processing of your application has been suspended.
