When to apply?
Permanent residence permit for a minor is granted to a child of a Polish citizen remaining under his parental authority.
The application on behalf of a minor foreigner is submitted by parents or court-appointed guardians or one of the parents or one of the court-appointed guardians. When submitting an application for a minor who is over 6 years of age, his or her name is required presence.
You submit the application for a permanent residence permit no later than on the last day legal stay child in Poland.
If the child was born in Poland, submit the application immediately after obtaining it travel document for baby.
If you submit your application on time and it will not be in it formal deficiencies or formal deficiencies will be supplemented within the time limit indicated by us, the stay of the child will be legal from the date of submitting the application to the date on which decision on this matter will become final. A child born in Poland will have a legal stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland only after issuing a decision on granting a permanent residence permit.

Where to submit the application?
Correctly and completely completed application submit in person at the Department for Foreigners in Warsaw.
From January 2025, when submitting an application for a permanent residence permit at ul. Krucza 5 in Warsaw, the Office employee will ask you to submit a completed and printed application MOS system and so far with inPOL Foreigner Portal
Permanent residence applications are accepted only in one location in Warsaw:

You can make an appointment only after completing the application on inPOL foreigner's portal.
New appointment times are available every day, so if there are no appointments available today, try tomorrow. It is worth submitting a fully completed application in person, as this will significantly streamline the procedure for legalizing your stay.

Documents submitted to the Registry Office are not verified and are not certified as true copies of the original.

WSC customer service is provided solely on the basis of a number collected from a ticket machine or an online visit booking.
there is a daily limit - 100 numbers issued by the ticket machine for number C - correspondence submitted in person to the Department of Foreigners' Affairs. You can submit up to 8 cases per number.
Online reservations for visits are available on the website www.e-uslugi.mazowieckie.pl . Since September of this year, online visits for number C can be scheduled every 15 minutes. Up to 8 cases can be submitted during one visit.

Remember that an application submitted in another available way must also be completed and printed from the MOS system and the inPOL Foreigner Portal.
Free slots are made available every day, so if there are no available slots today, try tomorrow. It is worth submitting a fully completed application in person, as it will greatly facilitate the procedure of legalizing your stay. If you are unable to do so, please submit a complete and correctly completed application on paper post office.
What counts is the date of posting the correspondence at the post office. If you submit the application by post, you will have to wait for the Office's call, and the process of legalizing your stay will be much longer. When you receive a summons, you will be required to appear with a child who has turned 6 years of age on a specified date, in order to, among other things, assemblies fingerprints.

What documents to submit?
Documents needed to initiate the procedure (so-called formal requirements):
- proposal in 2 copies, completed in accordance with the instructions;
- 4 Photos;
- photocopy a valid travel document child (original available for viewing). In particularly justified cases, when the child does not have a valid travel document and you are unable to obtain one, you can present another one a document confirming your identity child;
- To start the procedure, you will also need confirmation that you have applied stamp duty in the amount of PLN 640, personal appearance a child who has reached the age of 6 and has submitted fingerprints.
Completion of the above-mentioned activities on time, while maintaining the condition of submitting the application during legal stay, will allow the child to be included in the passport stamp confirming the submission of the application.
If you do not complete the formal defects, your application will be left unprocessed and the proceedings will not be conducted.
However, in the event of removal of formal defects after the expiry of the deadline, and before the authority sends a notification that the application has not been considered, the date of submission of the application should be considered the date of supplementing all formal defects of the application. In the above situation, it is not possible to place a stamp in the passport confirming the submission of an application for a permanent residence permit.
Documents needed to grant the permit:

documents confirming kinship recognized by the law of the Republic of Poland - a complete copy birth certificate registered in the Polish Registry Office or a foreign birth certificate, legalized or with an apostille clause, together with a translation into Polish made by a Polish sworn translator;

parents' marriage certificate or a certificate of recognition of the child by a Polish citizen, if the child was born before the parents got married;

a copy of the legal representative's ID card along with the original for the reason.

We issue a residence card after obtaining a positive decision on granting a permit.
Wait for an SMS message with the date of receipt of the decision and the card. Remember to inform the Office of any change of residence and contact number.
