When to apply?

Proposal you should submit if you are a citizen of the UK and before 31 December 2020 you worked or conducted other gainful activity in your own name and on your own account in the territory of the Republic of Poland, but you did not reside in Poland and did not register your stay in this territory, and after 31 December 2020 you continued to work or conduct such activity in this territory and at the same time you did not reside in Poland.

The application for registration of residence is submitted by a citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland who started work or conducted other gainful activity on his own behalf and on his own account in Poland and was not subject to the residence registration obligation until 31 December 2020 and still performs work or conducts such activity and at the same time does not reside in Poland.

Where to submit the application?

Correctly and completely filled out proposal deposit in Polish personally at the Department for Foreigners in Warsaw at ul. Marszałkowska 3/5, mezzanine, stand 21 (take a number with the letter "I").

You can also submit a fully and correctly completed application in paper form - by post. You can also submit an application through the registry office, ul. Marszałkowska 3/5 Warsaw, pl. Bankowy 3/5 Warsaw.

If you submit your application by post or through the application office, you will have to wait for the Office's summons. Then, after receiving the summons, you will be obliged to appear in person on the date indicated in the summons. Original documents must be presented during the visit. You can also submit other required documents.

What documents to submit?

  • Proposal for registering the residence of a citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, completed completely in Polish download (with 3 copies of copies of applications);
  • 4 photos undamaged, coloured, with good sharpness, sized 35mm x 45mm, made not earlier than 6 months before the date of submission of the application, showing the face of a UK citizen or family member of a UK citizen from the top of the head to the upper part of the shoulders, so that the face occupies 70-80% of photographs clearly showing the eyes, especially the pupils, the line of the eyes, which should be parallel to the upper edge of the photograph, on a uniform light background, in a frontal position, looking straight ahead with open eyes, uncovered hair, with a natural facial expression and closed mouth, and imitating the natural color of the skin;    
  • photocopy a valid travel document or other document confirming identity and citizenship (original available for inspection),
  • submission fingerprints;
  • a document confirming the performance of work or other gainful activity in one's own name and on one's own account in Poland immediately before 31.12.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX without residing in this territory;
  • a document confirming the continuation of work or other gainful activity in one's own name and on one's own account in the territory of Poland after December 31.12.2020, XNUMX without residing in this territory;
  • a document confirming the retention of the status of an employee or a person conducting other gainful activity in their own name and on their own account in the territory of Poland - if necessary;
  • a document confirming residence outside of Poland while working or conducting other gainful activity in one's own name and on one's own account in this territory before 31.12.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX and after that date.

How to pick up the document?

You can pick up the document in person at the seat of our Department, stand 21, ul. Marszałkowska 3/5 Warszawa, you need to take a ticket with the letter "V".
Customer reception hours: Monday 10:00-17:30, Tuesday - Friday 8:00-15:00.
If the certificate is lost, a new document is issued.

What should I know?

The party may appeal against the negative decision to the Head of the Office for Foreigners - through the Mazowieckie Voivode - within 14 days from the date of its delivery.

Before the deadline for filing an appeal expires, the party may waive the right to appeal against the public administration body that issued the decision.

On the day of delivery to the public administration body of the statement on the waiver of the right to appeal by the last party to the proceedings, the decision becomes final and binding.

If the right to appeal against the decision is waived, there is no right to appeal to the administrative court.

In exceptional situations, you can submit an application for registration of your stay also after 31.12.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX.

The certificate of registration of the stay of the British frontier worker confirms the right to continue work or gainful activity in Poland and entitles to visa-free entry to the territory of Poland under the Withdrawal Agreement.

Failure to submit the application by December 31.12.2021, XNUMX is punishable by a fine.

What are my obligations after issuing the document?

You should report to the voivode competent for the place of your residence in the case of:

  • changes to the data contained in the document,
  • document loss,
  • damage or other circumstances that make it difficult to determine the identity of the holder.
