When should I apply?
Submit an application if you intend to stay in Poland for more than 3 months and if the main one purpose of your stay jest doing work in Poland.
Complete the application correctly in Polish for granting temporary residence permit. Add completed and signed by the employer Appendix 1. Print the documents and submit them in person, no later than on the last day of your stay legal stay on the territory of Poland.
If you submit the application within the indicated period and it will not be in it formal deficiencies or you complete the formal deficiencies within the time limit indicated by us, your stay will be legal from the date of submitting the application to the date on which decision will become final in your case.
NOTE: If you entered the national visa and/ or a Schengen for tourist purposes or to visit family or friends and you submit an application for a uniform temporary residence and work permit, will not be initiated and the application will not be considered.

Where to submit the application?
Correctly and completely completed application submit in person at the Department for Foreigners in Warsaw.
Applications for temporary stay are accepted in 3 locations in Warsaw:

To book a visit to the office - complete the application form below and, in accordance with the WSC registration regulations, indicate the identification number of the application completed in the system. MOS and in the system inPOL
To make a reservation, it is necessary to complete the application in the MOS and inPOL systems.
We will send the necessary information regarding the matter on an ongoing basis to the telephone number provided in the inPOL system, including an SMS with information on receipt of the residence card.
If you complete the form correctly, you will receive automatic information about the submitted application.
Then, within 5 business days you will receive information with the date and place of the visit to the e-mail address provided in the application. Registration will be determined by the order in which applications are received.
If you receive information that the registration limit has been reached due to lack of places or incorrect data, please register for the next session. Information about the next session will be available on our website.
The number of people registered for a given day depends on the staff and premises capacity of the office.
A registered application does not mean signing up to submit an application in person. Registration is determined by the order of applications and the correctness of the indicated data (including numbers from the MOS and inPOL systems), which will be verified.
People who come for an appointment without completed applications in the inPOL and MOS systems will not be served.
The above solution is aimed at more efficient processing of cases related to the constantly increasing number of foreigners in Masovia.
FORM - Registration for submitting an application for temporary residence
It is worth submitting a completely completed application in person, as it will significantly streamline the procedure for legalizing your stay. If you do not have such an opportunity by the last day of your legal stay, to meet the deadline, send a complete and correctly completed application in paper version post office.
What counts is the date of posting the correspondence at the post office. If you submit the application by post, you will have to wait for the Office's call, and the process of legalizing your stay will be much longer. Then, after receiving the summons, you will be obliged to appear in person on the indicated date, in order to, among other things, assemblies fingerprints. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received.

What documents to submit?
Documents needed to initiate the procedure (so-called formal requirements).
- proposal in 2 copies, completed in accordance with the instructions;
- 4 Photos;
- photocopy a valid travel document (original available for inspection). In particularly justified cases, when you do not have a valid travel document and you are unable to obtain it, you can present another one a document confirming your identity;
- Annex No. 1 to the application, completely completed by the employer, signed by a person authorized to represent the company,
- to start the procedure, you will also need confirmation that you have applied stamp duty in the amount of PLN 440, yours personal appearance and submission fingerprints.
Completion of the above-mentioned activities on time, while maintaining the condition of submitting the application during legal stay, will allow you to include in your passport stamp confirming the submission of the application.
If you do not complete the formal defects, your application will be left unprocessed and the proceedings will not be conducted.
However, in the event of removal of formal defects after the expiry of the deadline, and before the authority sends a notification that the application has not been considered, the date of submission of the application should be considered the date of supplementing all formal defects of the application. In the above situation, it is not possible to place a stamp in the passport confirming the submission of an application for a temporary residence permit.
Documents needed to grant the permit:
- Appendix 1 to the application confirms that you have the purpose of staying in Poland for more than 3 months, it will allow you to determine whether the amount of your monthly remuneration is not lower than the amount of the minimum remuneration for work, regardless of the working time and the type of legal relationship constituting the basis for your work. The conditions of entrusting work specified in Annex 1 must be valid on the day of issuing the permit and must be consistent with the conditions resulting from other documents, e.g. employment contract, information from the staroste. In Annex 1 to the application, the employer provides the amount of remuneration for work offered to you, which may not be lower than the minimum remuneration for work, i.e. currently PLN 4242 gross per month, regardless of the working time/number of working hours and the type of contract under which you perform work;
- information from the staroste or a document confirming the exemption from the obligation to submit it;
Check if you need information from the mayor; - if the starost's information contains requirements for candidates to take up work on the offered position, attach documents confirming that you meet these requirements;
- current documents confirming possession health insurance;
- if you work in regulated profession – also complete documents confirming formal qualifications or meeting the conditions that are required. Check if your profession is on the list of regulated professions in Poland;
- documents confirming that your employer has the financial means or sources of income necessary to cover the obligations arising from entrusting work to a foreigner and confirming that he conducts real business, agricultural or statutory activity.
All documents must be submitted in original/certified copy. Use the cover letter when sending documents to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Attention! Attaching all the above-mentioned documents to the application when submitting it may reduce the amount of official correspondence and shorten the time of settling the case. In the event of the need to clarify or clarify the evidence held by the authority in the case during the proceedings, you may be called upon to provide other documents or to testify confirming the circumstances referred to in the application. Documents should be submitted in originals or in photocopies together with the originals for inspection. If documents drawn up in a foreign language are attached to the application, it is also required to submit a translation of this document into Polish, made by a sworn translator.
What should I know, what should I pay attention to?
We grant the permit for a period not longer than 3 years. The period of the permit depends primarily on the period for which the employer intends to entrust you with work.
The permit entitles you to work in Poland only under the conditions specified therein. You cannot work for another employer on its basis. The exceptions are permits issued in cases where you are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit, i.e., for example: you have received a temporary residence and work permit as:
- graduate of a Polish upper secondary school
- full-time higher education
- or full-time doctoral studies at a Polish university.
It is your duty to inform the voivode who issued the permit about the termination of work within 15 working days of losing employment. If you want to work for another employer, you must submit a new application for temporary residence and work. You can also submit an application for a change of a temporary residence and work permit form. When changing the permit, you can change the employer. The notification obligation will be deemed fulfilled if you submit an application for temporary residence or change of temporary residence and work permit within 15 working days of losing your job. If you do not submit a new application or an application to change your permit, we will start the procedure of withdrawing your permit. The purpose of your stay, declared by you when submitting the application, has ceased. If you decide not to submit the application, we may refuse to grant you another temporary residence permit.
Have you received a decision inconsistent with your request?
The decision may be appealed against to the Head of the Office for Foreigners. You submit the appeal through the Mazowieckie Voivode within 14 days from the date of delivery of the decision. If the Mazowieckie Voivode decides that your appeal deserves Entire to be taken into account, may issue a new decision within 7 days from the date of receipt of the appeal, in which it will repeal or amend the challenged decision. If, after receiving the appeal, the Voivode does not issue a new decision, then the files of your case together with the appeal will be transferred to the Head of the Office for Foreigners within 7 days from the date of receipt of the appeal by the authority.

I have received a decision - how to obtain a residence card?
We issue a residence card after obtaining a positive decision on granting a permit.
Wait for an SMS message with the date of receipt of the decision and the card. Remember to inform the Office of any change of residence and contact number.
