A new template for an application for a Polish travel document for a foreigner

From January 1, 2023, citizens of Belarus who received a temporary residence permit for persons residing in Poland on the basis of the so-called humanitarian visa, can obtain a Polish travel document for a foreigner. On March 21, a new application form has entered into force.

The changes introduced on January 1, 2023 make it possible to issue Polish travel documents for foreigners to persons who have obtained a temporary residence permit in accordance with Art. 186 sec. 1 point 9 of the Act on foreigners.

Announcement on submitting applications for the Pole's Card at the MUW

A new temporary residence permit for Belarusians with the so-called humanitarian visas

On July 9, 2022, a regulation* will come into force that will allow citizens of Belarus to apply for a new type of temporary residence permit**. It is dedicated to people who stay on the territory of Poland on the basis of national visas issued to come for humanitarian reasons, due to the interest of the state or international obligations (with the marking "D 21" on the visa sticker)***.

You have sent your residence application by post. What's next?

  1.  The Office will send an SMS message confirming receipt of the application. The message will be sent only to the telephone number indicated in the application. Rememberto indicate the correct phone number.
  2. Then the Office will send another SMS message about the preparation of the summons. The content of the message will indicate the necessary documents to be delivered to the Office.

Temporary protection for foreigners who are not citizens of Ukraine

Foreigners who came from Ukraine to Poland from February 24 this year. and meet certain conditions, may be covered by temporary protection. The use of temporary protection is confirmed by a certificate issued by the Office for Foreigners. The document can be obtained at the seat of the office in Warsaw and Biała Podlaska or by registering on-line in order to request a certificate.
