Are you a foreigner? Have you changed your address? Let us know

Every fourth letter sent by the Department of Foreigners' Affairs is returned to the office due to non-delivery or non-collection. This amounts to approximately 3,5 thousand documents per month. This extends the time it takes to issue a decision. Don't let this happen. Are you a foreigner? Have you changed your address? Inform them about it.

Remember! Inform the Office in writing about any change of your address

If you know you may have trouble receiving your mail, for example if you live in a student residence or a staff hotel, consider other options for delivering your mail:

Why is this so important?

During the procedure for granting a residence permit in Poland:

- you will receive all official letters sent,

- Your place of residence, as indicated in the application, will be confirmed and the proceedings will not require any additional explanatory proceedings.

This has an impact on the granting of a residence permit.

Remember!

If you do not receive the letter sent to you in which you were informed of the need to:

- supplementing the formal deficiencies of the application, this may result in your case being left without consideration due to failure to appear at the office and failure to provide the required documents, thus failing to meet the deadline specified in the summons,

- supplementing the material deficiencies of the application, which may result in a negative decision in your case and the necessity to leave the territory of Poland,

- appear at the office to provide fingerprints or explanations, your proceedings will be terminated and you will be obliged to leave the territory of Poland.
