A document that entitles you to cross the border between countries.

Depending on your location, your application will be reviewed by the governor from a given region (province). The same principle of processing applications applies to most institutions with which you will come into contact. If your employer submits an application for work permit, the decision in the case will be issued by the Voivode from the region where your employer's company is located. If you are applying for an intra-corporate transfer, the application will be considered by the Voivode from the region where the host entity is located in Poland.

The person who signed the application, in the case minors the applicant is a parent, statutory representative.

In other words, issuing an invitation, i.e. a document that confirms that the inviting person, e.g. a Polish citizen, has undertaken to cover the costs related to the planned stay of the invited foreigner in Poland, including the costs of accommodation and meals and covering the costs of his return trip to the country of origin. The possibility of fulfilling this obligation is verified during the examination of the application for entering the invitation into the register of invitations. The time during which your application for a cash benefit is not considered due to the pending allocation of funds in the state budget that will allow for the payment of further cash benefits. Suspension of processing your application does not mean that you will not receive the benefit.

The procedure for legalizing your stay is initiated, as a rule, on the day you submit your application for a residence permit in Poland. If your application does not include formal deficiencies or these deficiencies will be supplemented by you, you will receive information about the commencement of the proceedings and the date of consideration of your case.

Performing work by a foreigner with competences confirmed by higher professional qualifications, who, regardless of the legal relationship between the parties, performs work for or under the direction of another person for remuneration;

The minimum amount of funds you need to cover the cost of living for the entire period of your stay in Poland due to your studies, after deducting the costs of the return trip to the country of origin and the cost of residence. If you are staying in Poland alone, the minimum amount is PLN 776 for each month of stay + cost return journey to the country of origin and accommodation costs for each month of stay. If you are staying in Poland with family members who are dependent on you, you must have funds in the amount of at least PLN 600 for yourself and each family member for each month of stay + funds to cover the costs of return travel for yourself and family members and the costs residence for each month of stay. The amount of financial resources to cover the costs of the return trip to the country of origin is as follows:
• PLN 200, if you come from a country neighboring the Republic of Poland,
• PLN 500, if you come from a different EU Member State than neighboring Poland,
• PLN 2500 if you come from a country that is not a member of the European Union.
If you have a return ticket to your country of origin, you do not need to have financial means to cover the cost of the return journey. Documents that may confirm the possession of funds for subsistence by the student are traveller's cheques, a certificate from a bank about the limit on a credit card, a certificate from a bank with its registered office in Poland or another Member State of the European Union, a member state of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). ) - parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation on the funds held, confirmation of the received scholarship or certificate of employment and the amount of earnings of you or the person you are dependent on.

If you cover the above costs jointly with your spouse, attach to the application the written consent of the spouse to cover the costs together with documents confirming the spouse's financial resources.

  • PLN 200 for a return trip to a country neighboring Poland,
  • PLN 500 for a return trip to a European country,
  • PLN 2500 for travel to a non-European third country.

Minimum financial resources to cover the cost of living in Poland. Their amount may change - currently they amount to PLN 776 per month if you are a single person or PLN 600 for each person in a family in common household

Evidence confirming their possession may be in particular:

  • certificate of the credit card limit issued by the bank that issued the credit card, issued not earlier than one month before the date of submitting the application;
  • a certificate of having cash in a bank or cooperative savings and credit union with its registered office in the territory of the Republic of Poland, issued not earlier than one month before the date of submitting the application;
  • a document confirming the award of a domestic or foreign scholarship;
  • a certificate of employment and earnings, issued not earlier than one month before the date of submitting the application.

The costs of the foreigner's return trip to the country of origin or residence are:

  • PLN 200 for a return trip to a country neighboring Poland,
  • PLN 500 for a return trip to a European country,
  • PLN 2500 for travel to a non-European third country.
