If you plan to stay in Poland for more than 3 months, but no longer than 360 days, and you have a valid residence permit or a long-term visa with the "STUDENT" annotation, issued by another European Union Member State (except Great Britain, Ireland and Denmark), the university where you started your studies in Poland should notify the Head of the Office for Foreigners about your intention to take advantage of student mobility.

A certificate from the university about starting or continuing full-time studies must comply with the applicable template that you will find HERE.

Unfortunately, very often certificates are submitted on outdated forms. Then we have to call you to bring a new certificate, which significantly extends the time of the procedure and delays the issuance of a decision.

Make sure that the person who signed the certificate is authorized by the Rector of the University to sign certificates for foreigners about starting or continuing studies. If you are not sure whether your certificate was signed by the right person, ask at the Rector's Office of your university. Most often, the persons authorized to sign the certificates are rectors, vice-rectors and some deans. As a rule, an employee of the dean's office is not a person authorized to sign such certificates.

If you are studying in the next year of study, the certificate should be accompanied by a card of periodic achievements (e.g. a grade sheet) for your education so far.
