Confirmation of knowledge of the Polish language in cases concerning recognition as a Polish citizen – changes in the procedure from 1 July 2025

Due to the amendment to the Act of 2 April 2009 on Polish citizenship, as of 1 July, post-secondary school graduation certificates in Poland will no longer be accepted as official proof of knowledge of the Polish language for the purposes of proceedings on recognition as a Polish citizen.

New regulations in migration law

Parliamentary work on a package of laws regulating issues related to the stay of foreigners in Poland has been completed. New regulations have been passed and published. They aim, among other things, to limit the possibility of abuse and free migration to the country. Change of registration form for submitting an application for temporary residence - from April 14, you can register via inPOL

Registration for submitting an application for temporary residence will be conducted through the reservation calendar on the inPOL Foreigner Portal. These changes will be effective from April 14, 2025.
